Monday Challenge #16 - Ink It Up

Hello Bloggies, time for another Monday Challenge at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is to use ink on your project. My mother sent me some really pretty paper with kitchen print. The first thing to pop into my mind was this apron from the Country Life cartridge. I think their perfect together. Go over to My Craft Spot and have a look at this weeks challenge.

I used my Gypsy and the Accent Essentials cartridge to make the circle card. The base of the card was welded in the Gypsy.

I used Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Tea Dye and Tattered Rose to ink around each and every piece. I used pink Stickles to make little dots around the outside of the card and my iRock to put some bling on the apron pockets.

I used my computer for the sentiment and my iRock to add some pearl gems. And yep inked around the tag.
Thanks for the paper mom, how do you like the card I made with it?

God Bless you all,
Kellie

Birthday Bird

Hi there blogger friends. My father-in-laws birthday is in a few days and I wanted to share the card I made for him. It's very simple but I love how it turned out with the soft colors.
I used my computer to print the sentiment on coordinating paper then cut it out.
I used Glossy Accents on the eye, beak, and musical notes. Used a little twine for a bow around the birds neck.

I put some very tinny self adhesive black pearls on the bottom of each little pointed scallop to dress it up a bit.

Card Recipe
Cricut Cartriges: Nifty Fifties for Bird, Country Life for Banner.
Tim Holtz Distressing Ink: Tea Dye
Paper: Cosmo Cricket-Wanted (6 x 6 Mini Deck)
Misc: Self adhesive black pearls, black Gelly Roll Pen , twine

I hope you like my little Birthday Bird. Please feel free to leave a comment and come back soon.

God Bless you all,
Kellie

Card From My Mom

Good morning blogger friends. I have to share a card that my mom made me. She is very new to this and already making terrific cards. I love sunflowers and she made me this beautiful card just because she loves me. Isn't life grand. She used the Country Life cartridge and it looks like she cut it at 3". She saw this layout on YouTube, sorry I don't know who's idea this was but thank you. This card has 3 layers to it. I really like it and will do a card with this layout myself and provide you with all with the dimensions. Today is Mother Daughter Tea at my sisters church so it will be a fun day. Have a blessed Saturday everyone.
This is what it looks like when you open the first flap which has the sunflowers on it. Then you can fold it open to yet a third layer as shown in the picture below.

Look for her 'Country Life Episode #4'. Here is the banner that I made. Hope you like it and maybe it will inspire you.

Mothers Day Card

My mom is a huge quilter. She is a wonderful mom and best friend. She loves to make small quilts for a children's charity group she belongs to so, I thought that this card was appropriate for her for Mothers Day. Yes, she loved the card. I hope you do too.
