Monday Challenge #28 - Too Cute to Spook!

Good morning bloggers. Just wanted to share a card I made for the Monday Challenge at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is to create a cute Halloween Project. I came up with this cute witches hat card. I used lots of Stickles on the shapes on this hat to make it sparkle. I love Stickles.

I used the Mini Monsters cartridge for this card and my Gypsy. The Mini Monsters cartridge has a card feature that has the shapes already welded together for you. They are super easy to make. You can see how this cute hat open in the picture above. I printed out labels with my blog address on them with my computer so  I could easily add them to the backs of my cards. I got this idea from my friend Cindy at Card Crazy Me 53. She makes some beautiful cards so please go over and check out her blog.

Monday Challenge #20 - It's Hot Out There!

Good morning blogger friends, it's time for the Monday Challenge at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is called: It's Hot Out There. The challenge is to use hot, bright colors on your project. Here is the card I made for this challenge using my Gypsy and Create a Critter.

I used Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Wild Honey to ink around everything. Then my Gelly Roll pen to stitch around the happy little sun, tag and card. Oh and a couple of cute little dots on his happy little cheeks.

The sentiment was stamped on then heat embossed in an orange. I thought that these cute little flower brads matched the back ground paper that is from DCWV.

On the inside I used some of the same paper and added a cute little bee. I really like this card, it's so happy and cheery.

Monday Challenge #19 - You Make Me Smile!

Hello blogger friends. I've been so busy and haven't had much time to craft. I did make a card for the Monday Challenge taking place at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is to make a project to let someone know that you are thinking of them. I made a card for my mom. The inspiration took place from a Fiskars punch that I have. It punches the corner and then the edge. I don't know what it is called, sorry. Then I used my Walk in My Garden cartridge for the Rose. I think it looks good with the punch. Hope you enjoy it.

I only used red, black and green. Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Tea Dye and Crushed Olive around the flower and top leaves.

The sentiment is from Studio G and embossed in a pearl. I didn't want it to over power the card so that is why I used the pearl. You can see it better in person than in the picture.

I used dimensionals on the flower and part of the leaves.

I used the punch but only in the corners on the inside of the card where I will write mom a nice little note.

I used the same red paper on the inside and my Martha Stewart 'Iron Gate' punch to create a boarder on the bottom. I inked it a little with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Black Soot. I hope mom likes it.

Monday Challenge # 18 - Emboss It!

Hello blogger friends. It's time for the Monday Challenge at My Craft Spot and it's all about Embossing this week, any kind of embossing such as dry, heat, faux, etc. I used my Cuttlebug folder Domino's for my embossing of choice. First let me tell you that tomorrow is going to be a very sad day for my husband and I. Our youngest son moved to Texas at the beginning of this year and now our oldest son is moving down with him. Our house will be so empty and they will be so far away from us, over 2,500 miles, UGGG. We take him to the airport in the morning, I hope I have enough tissue. I made him this cute little mouse card and then decided to enter it into the Monday Challenge.

Isn't he so cute, he is from the "Four Legged Friends" lite cartridge. He is cut at 3.50". I used some distressing ink around him and a few little white gel pen accents here and there and then popped him up with some dimensionals. I also used distressing ink on a sponge dabbed softly all over the top of the embossed domino's.

I used Tim Holtz Scallop Tag Die cut for this tag and used rub-on-letters for the "miss you". Added a little heart and some stitching around the edge. Oh ya don't forget the Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Tea Dye around the edges.

I just love his little face, he's so cute. I think by adding a little white dot in his eye really brought him to life. I hope you enjoyed him.

Monday Challenge #17 - Christmas in July

Good morning blogger friends, it's time for another Monday Challenge over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is to create something with a Christmas theme. I used my Gypsy and the Christmas cart that came loaded free on it. I wanted to keep this Christmas jingle bell simple and clean looking. Kinda' white like snow.

I used my Cuttlebug embossing folders to give the card dimension. D'vine Swirls on the bow, Polka Dots on the main part of the bell and Swiss Dots on the bell band.

The only color that I used was red behind the bow and green behind the jingle bell. I used the shadow feature to create the base behind the bell in green and the ribbon in red. I then glued the base of the bell to the ribbon and used a red brad to hold the top of the card. Okay you'll laugh at me but I don't have a Merry Christmas stamp small enough to fit in the inside of my card. I guess I need to get one before Christmas rolls around.

Monday Challenge #16 - Ink It Up

Hello Bloggies, time for another Monday Challenge at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is to use ink on your project. My mother sent me some really pretty paper with kitchen print. The first thing to pop into my mind was this apron from the Country Life cartridge. I think their perfect together. Go over to My Craft Spot and have a look at this weeks challenge.

I used my Gypsy and the Accent Essentials cartridge to make the circle card. The base of the card was welded in the Gypsy.

I used Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Tea Dye and Tattered Rose to ink around each and every piece. I used pink Stickles to make little dots around the outside of the card and my iRock to put some bling on the apron pockets.

I used my computer for the sentiment and my iRock to add some pearl gems. And yep inked around the tag.

Monday Challenge #15 - Sunny Days

Hello blogger friends and happy Saturday. Another Monday challenge over at My Craft Spot. This challenge is to make a card that reminds you of summer. To me summer is (or should be) warm with flowers blooming and the bees buzzing around. Here is the card I'm entering into this weeks challenge.

Used my iRock to set gems in the flowers and in the bees crown.

A little stitching around the wings really helps them pop out. Also used pop dots to make the bees stand out.

Printed the sentiment on my computer, punched it out and inked up the edges.
The background paper was one sheet with the white flowers on it. I cut it up into squares and glued them to the brown background to give the card a little added interest. I really love this card, I think it turned out better than I thought it would.

Monday Challenge #14 - Seeing Stars

Hello blogger friends, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It's time for another challenge at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is to incorporate stars into your project. Here is a card I made for this challenge.

I used a Star button in the center of my pinwheel.

I also used the Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder for the back ground of my pinwheel.

Monday Challenge # 11 - Tie it On!

Hello blogger friends, here is the card I made for the Monday Challenge #11 - Tie it On taking place at My Craft Spot. The requirements were to tie ribbon or twine somewhere on your card. I wanted to make a sweet (pun intended) simple little card and since I really love the Kate's ABCs cartridge I decided to use it for my card. I wanted soft clean colors with no clutter. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Trying to keep it simple I tied twine around one edge and used a button to top it off. Yes I did use my gel pen to stitch around my card, me and my stitching, I love it. But in my defense I know that I'm not the only one that loves to stitch around their cards so I'm okay with it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
