Dads Birthday Card 2011

Hello everyone out there in blogger world. Tomorrow is my dads birthday and here is the card that I made for him. I used the Nate's ABCs cartridge for this card. If you don't have this cartridge you might want to check it out, it's really cute.
I cut the ants and their shadow at 2". I used my iRock and put jewels for eyes and my white gel pen for some highlights to the little ants. I used my We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-Dile to set two eyelets on each side of the sentiment.
I printed the sentiment on the outside of the card and on the inside with my computer.

I did faux stitching around the inside. I also added a hand written sentiment but, well you know it's personal. I hope you enjoyed my card.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD

God bless you all,
Kellie

Fathers Day Cards

Hello blogger friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Saturday. I spent a beautiful sunny day with my husband at a car show. The weather was great and we had a lot of fun together eating hot dogs and ice cream and looking at a lot of really nice cars.

I have three fathers day cards to share with you that I made this week. First is the card I made for my father. I got the idea for this card from blog hopping and saw this mans wallet on  valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com. She has a patten for this wallet on her blog so go on over and check it out. Im entering this card in to a challenge happening over at My Craft Spot called Monday Challenge #12-We love you, Dad! You are to make a special card or project for your dad. Head on over and have a look at all the fun this week.
I used Tim Holtz Distressing Inks in Vintage Photo and Tea Dye. I took a sponge and inked and inked and inked until it had a leather look to it. I used an alphabet stamp and stamped my dads initials on the front of the wallet.

I used my sewing machine to sew the wallet together and filled it with miscellaneous items I made.

I used Sure Cuts Alot to make keys and tickets. I used a Sizzix tag die cut for the tag and a stamp set I had for the coins. On the back of the tag I wrote my dad a little note with a white Gelly pen. I really like how it turned out.

This next card is for my father-in-law (my husbands step father). He lives in Long Beach, WA and owns a restaurant called The Hungry Harbor and it has a pirate theme to it so I thought this was a fitting card for him.
On this card I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge and my Gypsy. The Pirate is cut at 4" and the ship is cut at 4". I used chalk and a white Gelly Roll pen for accents. I used Peachy Keen Everyday Character Faces for the Pirate face. I think he turned out so cute.

I cut another map for the inside, inked it up and used a Happy Fathers Day stamp.

I made this card for my father in law (my husbands biological father). He loves motorcycles so when I saw this motorcycle in the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge I knew I had to make it for him.
I had some silver paper and ran it through my Cuddlebug with the Diamond Plate folder, it's so cool looking in person and really looks like diamond plate. I had some brads that look like screws and they fit perfectly on this card. I used Nate's ABCs for the word "Ride".
I used a small piece of silver paper and cut another tag with the Sizzix tag die cut for the inside of the card. All cards are a standard A2 size. Thanks for hangin' in there I know this was a long post.

God Bless you all,
Kellie

Birthday Card for My Son

Boy that was awful having Blogger down for so long. I wanted to post this yesterday and couldn't so, I got up early before I had to go to my sisters and it was still down. I'm so happy it's up now. It's my son's birthday today and I wanted to share the card I made for him. I used the Nate's ABCs cartridge. This is the cutest cartridge for boys. Enjoy!
Cricut Cartridge: Nate's ABCs
Image: DoginCar on page 53 cut at 2.76"
Tag: Accent Essentials Cartride: page 79 cut at .50"H x 2"W
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Diamond Plate
Brads: Bought from Michaels (aren't they cute)

I used  my Gypsy to design this card so I could alter the car and tag size to what I needed. I really love my Gypsy. The Cricut is wonderful but it only goes in 1/4" increments and sometimes you need a more in-between size. I think it turned out so cute and I love the brads.

God Bless,
Kellie

Cute Goat from Nate's ABCs

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a card from the Nate's ABCs cartridge. I love this cartridge it has so many cute characters for little boys. I also love the companion cartridge called Kate's ABCs which is all about little girls. I'll post a card from that cartridge soon. But first here is a very adorable goat that I couldn't pass up making.

Cricut Cartridge: Nate's ABCs
Goat from page 63 cut at 3 1/2"
Cuttlebuge Folder: D'vine Swirl
Tim Holtz Alterations Die: Scallops

The actual goat character had a sign on the left that said "Don't eat the grass". I cut this off and added a butterfly with a few stickles. I love how it turned out.

Thanks for lookin'
Kellie
