Hello blogger friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Saturday. I spent a beautiful sunny day with my husband at a car show. The weather was great and we had a lot of fun together eating hot dogs and ice cream and looking at a lot of really nice cars.
I have three fathers day cards to share with you that I made this week. First is the card I made for my father. I got the idea for this card from blog hopping and saw this mans wallet on valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com. She has a patten for this wallet on her blog so go on over and check it out. Im entering this card in to a challenge happening over at My Craft Spot called Monday Challenge #12-We love you, Dad! You are to make a special card or project for your dad. Head on over and have a look at all the fun this week.
I used Tim Holtz Distressing Inks in Vintage Photo and Tea Dye. I took a sponge and inked and inked and inked until it had a leather look to it. I used an alphabet stamp and stamped my dads initials on the front of the wallet.
I used my sewing machine to sew the wallet together and filled it with miscellaneous items I made.
I used Sure Cuts Alot to make keys and tickets. I used a Sizzix tag die cut for the tag and a stamp set I had for the coins. On the back of the tag I wrote my dad a little note with a white Gelly pen. I really like how it turned out.
This next card is for my father-in-law (my husbands step father). He lives in Long Beach, WA and owns a restaurant called The Hungry Harbor and it has a pirate theme to it so I thought this was a fitting card for him.
On this card I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge and my Gypsy. The Pirate is cut at 4" and the ship is cut at 4". I used chalk and a white Gelly Roll pen for accents. I used Peachy Keen Everyday Character Faces for the Pirate face. I think he turned out so cute.
I cut another map for the inside, inked it up and used a Happy Fathers Day stamp.
I made this card for my father in law (my husbands biological father). He loves motorcycles so when I saw this motorcycle in the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge I knew I had to make it for him.
I had some silver paper and ran it through my Cuddlebug with the Diamond Plate folder, it's so cool looking in person and really looks like diamond plate. I had some brads that look like screws and they fit perfectly on this card. I used Nate's ABCs for the word "Ride".
I used a small piece of silver paper and cut another tag with the Sizzix tag die cut for the inside of the card. All cards are a standard A2 size. Thanks for hangin' in there I know this was a long post.
God Bless you all,
Kellie
