Granny Square Card

Hello my blogger friends. I wanted to share another card with you today. I'm a knitter but have always loved the look of Granny Squares which is done by crocheting. They are such pretty lacy little squares. So being the person I am I went on You Tube and taught myself how to crochet Granny Squares. Then I thought let me try to make them really small and put them on a card and waaa-laaa that became the inspiration for this card. And then guess what my husband being the wonderful husband he is stopped at Ross on his way home from meeting with a client and bought me a Martha Stewart punch, this one is called Quilted. It just all seemed to come together. I hope you like it.
Here is a close up of one of the little Granny Squares. They each measure 1 1/4" x 1 1/4".
I used my Gelly Roll pen and stitched around the punched area. I think this helped pull the card together. So what do you girls think? Please feel free to leave a comment.

God Bless you all,
Kellie

  3. Kellie, what a super smart idea for a card! It is truly unique and so cool to look at! You always come up with such wonderful cards! What a great hubby too, I think I would faint if mine came home with a punch! But lately he has been bringing home dinner so ya, he is a keeper :)
