Featherweight 221 Dust Cover

I love my little Featherweight 221 sewing machine, I think she is so cute, she was born in 1950 but runs like a dream. Anyone who has one of these little beauties knows what I'm talking about. I have always kept her in her case but decided to bring her out so I could try and use her more. Any-hoo I can't just let her be out without a dust cover so I made one for her. I love how it turned out. Here she is, but not very protected from the dust.

I had started this quilted wall hanging/end table cover. Yep you guessed it, I cut it up to make the dust cover. Here is a close up of some of the fabric print, it's so cute.
Here is my little beauty all covered and protected from the dust. Best part is that she can stay out and all I have to do is remove the cover and start sewing.
God Bless you all,
Kellie

  1. Very very nice! You did a great job, and what better way to "recycle" something you wouldn't use otherwise. I love the fabric too. You should be very proud of yourself. Have a great Friday.
