Nuts About You

Hi blogger friends, I hope you all are well. I made this card for my husband and am going to give it to him on Father's Day. He loves peanuts so when I saw this peanut in the Create a Critter booklet I wanted to make it for him and wright something mushy inside. I know he's not my dad but I wanted to let him know how much I appreciate him and to say thanks for every thing he has done for me. The image only came as a fella so I made a second one, flipped it and cut off the hat from the image and the shadow to make a girl. She also got a bow on top of her nut, so cute hu!

I made a little heart and covered it with some Stickles for a little sparkle bling.
I have an oval punch but wanted scallops around it. Since I don't have an oval scallop punch I made scallops to go around it with my round scallop punch. I punched out two black round scallop punches and cut out the center. I then went around the inside with my scissors and cut little slits so it could bend. Then I used my ATG gun and placed sticky all around the back edge of my sentiment punch and placed the black scallops around the outside.  It really was very easy to bend around the back as you can see from the photos below. I hope this makes sense. Maybe the below photos will help.
See how I cut little slits all around the inside edge after removing the center.
The strips easily bent around the back side of my sentiment after I put down the ATG tape. I love how easy it was but makes such a big impact. Thanks for stoppin' by.

Other items: button, ribbon, Stickles and Tim Holtz Distressing Ink, oval and round scallop punch.

God Bless you all,
Kellie
